From June 4 to June 6, 2025, the Hellenic Language Institute (INEL) will host an International Conference in Athens, focusing on the teaching of Greek as a Second/Foreign Language and on Multilingualism, along with related fields.

The theoretical framework and panel topics will be presented by university scholars from over 20 public and private institutions in Greece and abroad, as well as by secondary education teachers based in Greece and internationally.

The scientific organization of the Conference is a collaboration between the Department of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Strasbourg and the Hellenic Language Institute (INEL).

The Organizing Committee includes:

  • Irini Tsamadou–Jacoberger, Professor of Modern Greek Studies and Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Strasbourg
  • Maria Zerva, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Strasbourg
  • Evangelia Georgantzi, Philologist and President of the Hellenic Language Institute

The Conference will take place at the Athenaeum InterContinental Athens Hotel
